About Fathom Marine Services
In 2004, our family decided to pursue a dream of owning a more seaworthy, ocean going vessel, living by the ocean and doing some serious offshore cruising. We moved to Fort Lauderdale, FL., purchased a 40ft cruiser and over a three year period, explored the Abacos, Grand Bahama, Eluthera, Bimini, Paradise Island, and the entire Florida Keys. During this incredible experience, my brothers and I decided we would start a yacht maintenance business.
Owner/Operator, Michael Howard, acquired his 100T captain's license in 2007 and started as a motor yacht delivery captain, running and maintaining privately owned vessels in Fort Lauderdale, Miami, the Florida Keys and the Bahamas. Capt. Mike completed Cummins/Mercruiser factory training and is a member of the Boat US Pro Captain's Association and the American Boat and Yacht Council. He has owned, operated and or maintained a variety of motor yachts in the 38 to 60ft range to include Meridian, Sea Ray, Hatteras, Riviera, Ocean, and Tiara as well as a St. Francis and Eric Lerouge catamaran.
Fathom Marine Services specializes in performing all preventative engine maintenance and minor repairs on Cummins, Mercruisers, CATS, Yanmar, MANS and Volvo Penta engines. We also service Onan and Kohler generators.
